Claire G. Bopp and Brian Laudadio of Bond, Schoeneck & King have entered appearances for the County of Seneca, New York in a pending civil rights lawsuit. The suit, filed July 5 in New York Western District Court by Barclay Damon, accuses the counties of unlawfully refusing to transmit emergency 911 calls to the Cayuga Nation Police Department, preventing the CNPD from responding in a timely manner when a person calls 911 on tribal property. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Elizabeth A. Wolford, is 6:24-cv-06420, Cayuga Nation et al v. The County of Cayuga, New York et al.
