Another Roundup trial began on Monday with jury selection after Bayer's Monsanto failed to disqualify the judge. The San Benito County Superior Court trial involves Hollister resident Bruce Jones, 72, who was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma in 2021 after decades of exposure spraying Roundup on his ranch and various commercial properties. Monsanto filed a petition for writ of mandate before California's Sixth District Court of Appeal to remove the judge, who the company alleges is "prejudiced against it and one of its attorneys."
