Simon Property Group, a real estate investment trust focused on shopping malls, and its management company, M.S. Management Associates Inc., were hit with a tenant class action Tuesday in Florida Southern District Court. The court action, filed by Buckner + Miles and Kelley | Uustal, alleges that the defendants artificially inflated electricity costs that were passed on to tenants. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 0:20-cv-60981, Cafe, Gelato & Panini LLC v. Simon Property Group, Inc. et al.
