City of Hope, a medical treatment and research organization, was slapped with a data breach class action on April 19 in California Superior Court for Los Angeles County. The lawsuit, brought by the Srourian Law Firm and Wucetich & Korovilas, accuses the defendant of failing to properly secure and safeguard the class' protected health and personally identifiable information. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 24STCV09935, Rodriguez v. City of Hope.
