Amazon.com Services and other defendants were hit with an employment lawsuit on April 16 in California Superior Court for Los Angeles County related to the company's efforts to compete with ChatGPT. The case was filed by King & Siegel on behalf of an AI researcher who alleges that she was subjected to pregnancy and family leave discrimination. The plaintiff also asserts that she was ordered to violate the company's own copyright policies. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is Ghaderi v. Amazon.com Services
