Nahid Jahanbin, Alexander Khazai and attorney Allen King were named in a landlord-tenant lawsuit on Feb. 26 in California Superior Court for Los Angeles County. The suit, brought by Trygstad Schwab & Trygstad on behalf of Kara English and Jason Douglas, accuses the defendants of violating the Santa Monica Tenant Anti-Harassment Ordinance by pursuing baseless eviction actions against the plaintiffs in order to charge market-level rent. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 24SMCV00860, English et al. v. Jahanbin et al.
