Block Inc., the fintech company formerly known as Square, was hit with a digital privacy lawsuit on Feb. 23 in California Superior Court for Los Angeles County. The suit, brought by Pacific Trial Attorneys on behalf of serial plaintiff Miltita Casillas, is part of a wave of cases accusing companies of using software on their websites to track visitors' IP addresses in violation of the California Invasion of Privacy Act. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 24STCV04636, Casillas v. Block Inc.
