FedEx and B & M Industrial were sued for negligence on Nov. 7 in California Superior Court for Los Angeles County. The suit was filed by Davie & Valdez on behalf of Omar Lobera, a B & M employee who was allegedly caught in a conveyor belt at a FedEx warehouse while performing repairs; according to the complaint, the plaintiff lost his balance on an unstable ladder provided by FedEx and became caught in the conveyor belt by his shirt, causing him to be nearly strangled. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is D-307-CV-2023-02448, Lobera v. FedEx Ground Package System Inc. et al.
