New Suit - Trademark

Greenberg Traurig filed a trademark lawsuit Monday in Virginia Eastern District Court on behalf of Bob Ross Inc., the owner of intellectual property created by the late television painting instructor Bob Ross, known for the PBS show 'The Joy of Painting.' The suit takes aim at apparel designer Rip N Dip and seller Zumiez for their use of Bob Ross's likeness on clothing, skateboards and other products. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 1:20-cv-00987, Bob Ross, Inc. v. Rip N Dip, Inc., et al.
