Litigation Surge - Trademark | Deckers Outdoor | Law.com Rad...

Deckers Outdoor filed a cluster of trademark infringement cases last week. At least four lawsuits were filed in California and Illinois, three of which seek to enjoin e-commerce operators from selling counterfeit 'UGG' footwear and bags through their websites and social media accounts. Plus, competitor Steve Madden is accused of violating Deckers' trademark and trade dress rights by redirecting users who search for the term 'UGG' on the defendant's website to footwear that is nearly identical to the plaintiff's products. The California suits are backed by the Blakely Law Group; the Illinois suit was filed by Greer Burns & Crain.
