A New Jersey appeals court has ruled that a local school district was within its rights to order teachers to remove pro-union signs from their doors and windows during an ongoing labor dispute.

Appellate Division Judges Michael Haas and Garry Rothstadt in an unpublished opinion Monday affirmed a ruling by Morris County Superior Court Judge Stephen Hansbury, who said the Parsippany-Troy Hill Board of Education didn’t impinge on free speech rights in demanding that teachers remove the signs.
