Executive Women of New Jersey (EWNJ) honored Kelly Strange Crawford, cochair of Riker Danzig Scherer Hyland & Perretti, alongside 31 other women leaders. Crawford was recognized for her professional achievements and efforts towards advancing women’s leadership. Special guest honoree First Lady Tammy Snyder Murphy was also honored at the organization’s biennial gala, “Salute to the Policy Makers,” on May 9, 2018, at The Palace at Somerset Park. Susan Chapman-Hughes, senior vice president of global commercial services at American Express, served as the keynote speaker, and Laurence M. Downes, chairman and CEO of New Jersey Resources, served as the honorary chair. Crawford said she is “mindful of the fact that I am one of just a handful of women in the top position at major law firms around the country. We need a strong pipeline of future female leaders, in the legal and corporate worlds, and I am pleased that EWNJ is committed to helping women excel and advance in business.” EWNJ also spotlighted the gender diversity efforts of companies named to its “2018 Business Honor Roll”: Prudential Financial and South Jersey Industries.
