An attorney who already has been disbarred by ethics authorities in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Pennsylvania for using retainer funds without performing any work has been met with a far lighter form of punishment in New Jersey.

The New Jersey Supreme Court, in an order dated June 13, agreed with a recommendation from the state Disciplinary Review Board that the attorney, Arcadio Reyes, should be merely admonished for his conduct. The Office of Attorney Ethics had sought disbarment.
