Edward T. Kole, a partner of Wilentz, Goldman & Spitzer, and Duane Morris partner Eric R. Breslin, have been named fellows of the American College of Trial Lawyers. The induction ceremony took place on March 3, 2018, before an audience of 700 at the 2018 spring meeting in Phoenix, Arizona. Founded in 1950, the college is composed of members of the trial bar from the United States and Canada. Fellowship in the college is extended by invitation only to those experienced trial lawyers of diverse backgrounds, who have mastered the art of advocacy and whose professional careers have been marked by the highest standards of ethical conduct, professionalism, civility and collegiality, according to the organization. Lawyers must have a minimum of 15 years’ trial experience before they can be considered.

Two NJ Attorneys Inducted into American College of Trial Lawyers Edward T. Kole

Kole is a member of the management committee at Wilentz Goldman and chair of the firm’s commercial litigation practice. For nearly 30 years, he has been at Wilentz and has practiced commercial litigation in the state and federal courts in New Jersey and throughout the U.S. He serves as first vice president of the Association of the Federal Bar of the State of New Jersey. He is the immediate past chair of the Business and Commercial Litigation Committee of the New Jersey State Bar Association, and previously served as a member of the Appellate Practice Committee and past chair of the Federal Practice and Procedure Committee. He is also a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation and a member of the Lawyers Advisory Committee for the U.S. District Court of the District of New Jersey.

Two NJ Attorneys Inducted into American College of Trial Lawyers Eric R. Breslin

Breslin is co-chair of the white-collar criminal defense division of Duane Morris’ trial practice group in Newark. He concentrates on complex commercial litigation and white-collar criminal litigation, representing a broad range of companies and individuals. Breslin has tried a variety of criminal and civil matters to verdict in state and federal courts in New Jersey and elsewhere. He has also conducted numerous internal investigations for corporate clients. He is a 1982 graduate, with honors, of George Washington University Law School and a graduate of Oberlin College. He is a former judicial clerk to Justice Robert N. Wilentz, chief justice of the New Jersey Supreme Court, and is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York.
