Life has changed in recent years for Marie Lihotz and Raymond Batten, who each had decades-long careers as New Jersey state judges and more recently retired to join Archer & Greiner, where they were tasked with building an alternative dispute resolution practice. Coming in with no book of business in the traditional sense, reputation means a lot. And leaving behind colleagues on the bench can be just as challenging as building the practice, they say.
