A Sussex County jury on June 21 awarded a Sparta woman $1.8 million in Mongiello v. Gallagher as compensation for injuries she sustained when the car in which she was riding was rear-ended by another car.
The jury awarded the damages to plaintiff Alexis Mongiello, now 24, following a trial presided over by Sussex County Superior Court Judge Frank DeAngelis, said one of Mongiello’s attorneys, William Thayer.
