New Jersey presented a great lesson for the nation recently on censorship and First Amendment values. At least four local high school students found themselves victims of unilateral political censors, who—whether guided by an intention to avoid controversy in these polarized times or a design to censor individual political views—took it upon themselves to remove pro- and anti-Donald Trump images from public display.

While First Amendment litigation is certainly important and necessary, these incidents were happily rectified by publicity (thanks to that same First Amendment) and some thoughtful parents.
