The mortgage fraud case has already brought criminal charges against the owner of the properties in question, Seth Levine of Teaneck, New Jersey. According to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of New Jersey, Levine directed a scheme to fraudulently refinance more than 70 apartment buildings he owns by providing false information to financial institutions.
