Seven cocktail servers snubbed for higher-paying “party pit” assignments at the Golden Nugget Atlantic City are suing the casino, claiming the decisions were illegally based on age, dress size and physical appearance.

The plaintiffs say the Golden Nugget opened its party pits — venues staffed by hostesses clad in “little more than a see-through negligee” — to compete with efforts by other Atlantic City casinos to “sensualize” certain aspects of their operations in order to attract “a more young, well-heeled, male clientele.”
