On Jan. 17, 2017, Sam Della Fera Jr., a partner at Trenk DiPasquale Della Fera & Sodono in West Orange, was honored as “Volunteer Attorney of the Year” by the Morris Stern Pro Bono Bankruptcy Project of Rutgers Law School-Newark, at a luncheon held at the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Newark. The event, hosted by Judge Rosemary Gambardella, celebrated the success of the program, which has provided pro bono bankruptcy assistance to hundreds of clients by partnering law students with experienced attorneys to represent clients in bankruptcy cases. The program is named in honor of the late Bankruptcy Judge Morris Stern, who was an adjunct professor at Rutgers Law School for many years.
