In Kim v. Kim, a Bergen County jury awarded $4.1 million on Dec. 19 to a teenager who brought a claim against her father over injuries she suffered in a motor vehicle crash.

Sae Rheen Kim, then 14, suffered permanent spinal injuries in a Feb. 23, 2013, crash when she was riding in the backseat of a car driven by her father, Isaac Kim. Her father collided with another vehicle after failing to observe a stop sign at Atwood Avenue and North Summit Street in Tenafly, according to the suit.
