A class action over the “made with all natural corn” wording on General Mills’ Kix cereal label has been stayed while the U.S. Food and Drug Administration considers regulating the use of the term “natural” on all food labels.

Plaintiffs claim General Mills misled consumers by using the word natural to describe products made from bioengineered corn. But a federal judge in Newark granted the company’s request to stay the case for 120 days while the FDA solicits comments on whether it should regulate use of that term.
