A New Jersey appeals court ruled on Friday that a Boonton woman should have a chance to prove that drum playing by her neighbors’ teenage son is causing her an unreasonable amount of stress and anxiety, interrupting her sleep and making it difficult for her to perform her work-at-home job.

In a published ruling, the three-judge Appellate Division panel reversed a trial judge’s decision to dismiss the lawsuit on summary judgment, saying there were material issues of fact that have yet to be resolved.
