Over the objections of gun-rights activists, a panel of the New Jersey Legislature has recommended passage of a bill to put limits on the capacity of magazine clips for automatic weapons.
The Assembly Law and Public Safety Committee voted 5-3 along party lines Thursday to approve A-2006, which would reduce the maximum magazine size to 10 rounds, down from 15.
