The New Jersey Supreme Court on Monday heard a pitch for expanding access to the state’s pretrial intervention program to cover cases in which defendants have gone through trial and have been found guilty of minor crimes.
“A determination of guilt has never been used to deny admission into PTI,” Assistant Deputy Public Defender Joshua Sanders told the court Monday in State v. Bell, A-21-12.
