SUPREME COURT OF NEW JERSEY

The Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Superior Court, and Tax Court Clerks’ Offices, and the Offices of the Deputy Clerk of the Superior Court in all twenty-one counties having been closed for the transaction of public business on Monday, October 29, 2012 through Wednesday, October 31, 2012 because of Hurricane Sandy and its aftermath;

It is ORDERED that in the computation of time periods under the Rules of Court and under any statute of limitations, for purposes of filing deadlines October 29, 2012 through October 31, 2012 shall be deemed the same as legal holidays.

Additionally, the county courthouses (including the offices of the Deputy Clerks of Superior Court) in Atlantic (Civil Courthouse in Atlantic City), Bergen, Hudson, Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex, Monmouth, Morris, Ocean, Somerset, Sussex, and Warren Counties having remained closed on Thursday, November 1, 2012, other than for emergent matters, because of the continuing effects of Hurricane Sandy;

It is FURTHER ORDERED that in the computation of time periods under the Rules of Court and any statute of limitations, for purposes of filing deadlines November 1, 2012 shall be deemed the same as a legal holiday for Superior Court matters in Atlantic, Bergen, Hudson, Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex, Monmouth, Morris, Ocean, Somerset, Sussex and Warren Counties.
