Hundreds of lawyers and judges will gather this week for the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Mid-Year Meeting in Las Vegas.

The five-day event, which begins Wednesday, will feature educational programming and networking events. The Mid-Year Meeting is one of the association’s premiere annual gatherings.

“This is going to be a terrific conference. We have worked hard to make certain this event will showcase the vibrancy of Las Vegas and the … educational programming is spectacular and will help all lawyers improve their practice. And our line-up of special events means there is absolutely something to entertain people of every age and budget,” said Association President Kevin P. McCann.

Programs cover everything from the ethics of social media to family law issues to work-life balance to diversity in the profession. State Senator Nicholas Scutari, the chair of the Senate’s Judiciary Committee, is also expected to speak on the issue of judicial appointments at a keynote program.

In addition to the educational programming, the event will feature networking events, a business meeting of the association’s board of trustees, and the opportunity for attendees to take part in tours and other events.

Next year’s Mid-Year Meeting will be held in Rome.
