To the editor:

The state Senate this summer passed S-2151, a bill that would change the standard for judicial review of prenuptial agreements ["Senate Advances Bill Altering Evaluation of Prenuptial Pacts," Aug. 27]. If adopted, this measure would discard three decades of legal jurisprudence, and, worse, could leave many New Jersey citizens without a means of support or in a position of public charge. This is untenable, unfair and irresponsible and the New Jersey State Bar Association opposes it.
