Litigators can be nice. We do what we must, but many of us, deep down inside, are gentle souls. Sure, some shudder at the thought of a utopian society when people learn to get along and amicably resolve their differences—but not all of us.
In my ongoing efforts to convince the world that most litigators like to help people—even other lawyers—I am sharing five examples of where we can help our brothers and sisters on the transactional side of things. I do so mindful that not every attorney has the luxury of walking down the hall in the same firm and running these issues by a colleague. Perhaps folks that don’t will use what I say below to spot when these situations come up.
