Offit Kurman filed a copyright infringement lawsuit Friday in New Jersey District Court against Def Jam, Interscope Records, Universal Music Group and rapper Keenon Jackson a/k/a YG. The complaint was filed on behalf of Tyrone Simmons, who accuses the defendants of incorporating ‘substantial aspects’ of his song ‘LoCo’ in YG’s hit ‘Go Loko’. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 2:21-cv-20449, Simmons v. Universal Music Group et al.
