A construction worker whose left foot had to be partly amputated after it was run over by a forklift in a warehouse received a $2.625 million settlement in his Middlesex County suit, Alavanja v. P.I.M. Brands, on Oct. 15.

Dusan Alavanja, then 70, was working on a construction project at the P.I.M. warehouse in Somerset on June 17, 2019, when a forklift operated by Kendall Campbell ran over his left foot. Alavanja, while working, was kneeling in an area marked off by plastic cones when the rear of the forklift swung wide, striking him, said his lawyer, Michael Forrester of Perrotta, Fraser & Forrester in Clark, who represented the plaintiff along with the firm’s Francine Quinn.
