The U.S. Senate on Tuesday confirmed the nomination of Karen Williams to a U.S. district court judgeship by a vote of 56-38.
With her confirmation, Williams is the last of four nominees picked by President Joseph Biden to take the bench in New Jersey. The third nominee, Christine O’Hearn, was confirmed Oct. 19. Zahid Quraishi was confirmed June 10 and Julien Neals was confirmed June 8. Yet even after confirmation of all four Biden nominees, the District of New Jersey’s 17-seat bench will still have two judicial vacancies.
