HP Inc. was sued Tuesday in New Jersey District Court by a discount ink seller that accuses the tech giant of using threats and intimidation tactics to eliminate competition. The suit, brought by Stern & Schurin on behalf of Ink Genie, seeks declaratory judgment that the online advertisement and sale of genuine HP products does not constitute trademark or trade dress infringement. Counsel have not yet appeared for HP. The case is 2:21-cv-14209, Frei Enterprises, Inc. d/b/a Ink Genie v. HP, Inc.
