Schenck Price Smith & King in Florham Park revived its summer law clerk program, bringing on Christina Principe, who has completed her second year at Seton Hall University School of Law, and Atilla Azami, who completed his second year at Rutgers Law School. Principe, a graduate of Bucknell University, is vice president of the Health Law Forum at Seton Hall Law. Azami, a graduate of Rutgers University, is staff editor at the Rutgers Journal of Law and Religion.

Hodgson Russ announced that Open Weaver Banks joined as a partner in the state and local tax (SALT) practice in Hackensack, where the SALT practice has recently expanded its presence. Banks previously was counsel at Eversheds Sutherland in New York, according to her LinkedIn profile. She represents taxpayers in administrative and court appeals in New Jersey, New York and Illinois on issues including apportionment of business income, combined reporting, constitutional nexus, the Internet Tax Freedom Act, nonresident and resident personal income taxation, sales and use taxation, and the imposition of various industry-specific taxes. She is a graduate of the University of Chicago Law School and Case Western Reserve University. Banks “is the perfect fit to represent our ongoing expansion in New Jersey,” said Mark Klein, Hodgson Russ chairman and partner in the SALT practice, in a statement. “Her intricate knowledge of and experience with New Jersey tax issues, combined with her extensive work on tax issues in New York and Illinois, as well as her experience in navigating complex multi-state tax disputes, adds an extra level of depth to our team.”
