Montgomery McCracken Walker & Roads added Aaron Haleva as a partner in the intellectual property department in Cherry Hill. Department chair Alfred W. Zaher said in a statement that Haleva “brings exceptional skill and adds impressive professional credentials to our clients and the firm.” Haleva focuses on IP litigation, trademarks, and patent preparation and prosecution in various industries including health care and pharmaceuticals, chemicals, and technology. As an inventor in addition to being an attorney, he has developed on-board interactive vision systems for mobile autonomous robots, and created big data analytical tools for immunology-based patient data to predict onset of disease and severity of conditions, the firm said. He earned his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law, his M.S.E.E. and B.S.E.E degrees from University of Washington, and his A.B. degree from Columbia University.

The firm’s 2021 clerks are: Kristen Doyle, of Rutgers Law School-Camden; Sean Dugan, of Rutgers Law School-Camden; and Gitika Kapoor, of Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law. Capehart’s summer program is designed to give law clerks an opportunity to get a feel of what it would be like to be a Capehart Scatchard associate, the firm said. Summer clerks work on real projects, and have an opportunity to explore many areas of the law and to work directly with a number of firm attorneys who concentrate in a wide variety of legal fields. In addition to research and writing, summer clerks remotely attend depositions, client meetings, hearings, conferences, and closings, the announcement noted.
