A former judge is suing the Superior Court of New Jersey to recover back pay from her five-year suspension from the bench while she faced criminal charges and a disciplinary case.

The failure to pay Carlia Brady for the period from June 2013 until March 2018 violates the New Jersey Constitution’s No Diminution Clause, according to the suit, which Brady filed Thursday.
