The latest attempt to get Gov. Phil Murphy to sign the oft-delayed recreational cannabis and decriminalization measures passed the Senate Judiciary Committee on Friday in the form of another cleanup bill.
S-3454 was approved 6-2 with one abstention. The “yes” votes were Sens. Nicholas Scutari, D-Union, Nellie Pou, D-Bergen, Nilsa Cruz-Perez, D-Camden, Bob Smith, D-Middlesex, Brian Stack, D-Hudson, and Troy Singleton, D-Burlington. The “no” votes were Sens. Ronald Rice, D-Essex, and Michael Doherty, R-Hunterdon.
