An 83-year-old man who was severely injured in a pedestrian accident received the full proceeds of a $1.3 million pre-suit settlement with insurance companies in October in Van Slooten v. Waldron.

Ronald Van Slooten of Upper Saddle River was walking in a crosswalk across Lafayette Avenue in Hawthorne on Nov. 7, 2019, when he was struck by a car driven by James Waldron of Hawthorne.
