The midsized Newark law firm Genova Burns will acquire Basking Ridge bankruptcy boutique Wasserman, Jurista & Stolz, the firm announced on Tuesday. Four Wasserman attorneys, led by partner Daniel Stolz, will form Genova Burns’ bankruptcy practice with existing associate Leonard Spinelli, Genova Burns’ sole bankruptcy attorney.
In interviews with the New Jersey Law Journal, Stolz and Genova Burns chairman and managing partner Angelo Genova said they are anticipating a major wave of bankruptcies and restructurings in 2021.
