An attorney who practiced in Highland Park has been suspended for two years after he was convicted of insurance fraud.

A grand jury indicted Neal Pomper, who submitted a phony $14,000 invoice to his homeowners’ insurance company for reimbursement of repairs from flood damage to his home, the Disciplinary Review Board said. In addition, Pomper commingled personal and client funds when he deposited a check for $5,675 for legal fees to his trust account in late 2017, then transferred the funds to his business account in early January 2018 in order to reduce his tax liability, the board said.
