As the Senate Board lit up with “yes” votes, Fabiana Pierre-Louis, a former partner in the Cherry Hill office of Montgomery, McCracken, Walker & Rhoads, who broke ground as the first Black woman to head two U.S. Attorney’s Office branches in New Jersey, reached a historic milestone to become the next associate justice on the New Jersey Supreme Court.

By a 39-0 vote at 2:05 p.m., the Senate confirmed Pierre-Louis’ nomination to the state’s highest court.
