A Butler County, Pennsylvania, judge sued for gender discrimination stemming from alleged sexual harassment by a former probation officer is not entitled to immunity from legal action, a federal appeals court has ruled.
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit on Monday rejected Butler County Judge Thomas Doerr’s argument that the lower court wrongly denied him qualified immunity in plaintiff Crystal Starnes’ lawsuit against him.
