As Operation Warp Speed continues to unfold and the United States and the world at large wait for a vaccine for COVID-19, Big Law will play a pivotal role in virtually all of the areas that will make vaccination and treatment of the deadly virus possible.

Multiple pharmaceutical companies, such as AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson and French drugmaker Sanofi have all been given millions, or in some cases billions, of dollars to work on vaccines in an effort to find at least one that can be validated and distributed to more than 300 million Americans. The U.S. investment in the effort now totals over $8 billion, according to the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA).
