In a dozen New Jersey State Bar Foundation (NJSBF) virtual workshops this summer, more than 200 educators from across New Jersey engaged in earnest conversations about anti-Black racism and learned about steps to help end it.

Prompted by the social unrest rocking the country and the national conversation about racism, Elissa Zylbershlag, NJSBF director of conflict resolution and anti-bias initiatives, partnered with Erin Lee, a co-developer and facilitator of several NJSBF training programs, to create the workshop, titled “Being an Antiracist.” The pair, with Donnetrice Allison, chair of the Africana studies department at Stockton University, conducted the sessions.
