Stark & Stark in Lawrenceville has announced that Bianca A. Roberto, Louis M. Ragone and John S. Prisco have been elected partners, effective July 1.

Roberto is a member of Stark & Stark’s litigation, bankruptcy and creditors’ rights; employment; beer and spirits; and business and corporate groups. She handles civil and commercial litigation, counseling clients in estate, business and commercial, residential and commercial real property, and employment matters in state and federal courts in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. She also assists breweries, wineries and distilleries in state and federal licensing, equipment financing and leasing, real estate purchases and leases, land use and zoning issues, trade secrets and employment matters. Roberto clerked for Judge Robert O. Baldi and Judge Wallace H. Bateman Jr. in the Bucks County Court of Common Pleas. She also interned for Pennsylvania Supreme Court Justice  J. Michael Eakin, the Pennsylvania Department of Insurance and Highmark Blue Shield. She earned her J.D. Widener University School of Law in 2010 and her B.A. from The University of Pittsburgh in 2007. Ragone is a member of Stark & Stark’s family law and divorce group, handling divorce, child custody, alimony, equitable distribution issues, emancipation of a child, custody or support modification, child support enforcement, college contribution, relocation applications and domestic violence matters. Ragone is a trained collaborative attorney. Ragone clerked for Ocean County Superior Court Judge Lawrence R. Jones in the Family Part, and previously was an associate at another New Jersey law firm, handling family law. He has experience advising clients on interstate child-related disputes with solutions pursuant to the Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction and Enforcement Act and Uniform Interstate Family Support Act. Ragone frequently meets with clients in the firm’s Lawrenceville and Marlton offices. He is also a frequent contributor to the New Jersey Law Blog. He concentrates his practice on complex construction litigation claims. His clients include condominiums and community associations, commercial and industrial property owners, homeowners, and developers. Prior to joining Stark & Stark, Prisco served as a litigation associate for an Am Law 100 law firm where he defended commercial litigation matters in federal and state courts in New York and New Jersey. He received his J.D. from Rutgers Law School (2010) and his B.A. from Rutgers University (2005). While attending law school, Prisco served as an articles editor on the Rutgers Law Review, and was a member of the Rutgers Moot Court Board and Rutgers National Mock Trial team.

The program, virtual this year, is designed with professional development as the primary goal, providing each associate with exposure to numerous Riker Danzig attorneys and practice areas while performing written work-product and pro bono assignments, the firm said. The assignments allow each associate to become a part of the team of attorneys working on a case or transaction. Each has a partner mentor and an associate mentor.

Kevin Hakansson received his undergraduate degree in music performance with a music business emphasis from the University of Massachusetts in 2007. LAst summer Hakansson served as a judicial intern for District Judge Freda L. Wolfson in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. While at New York Law School, Hakansson was a member of the Dean’s Leadership Council and honored with the Dean’s List with High Honors.
