Kenneth Sharperson of Weber Gallagher Simpson Stapleton Fires & Newby in Bedminster was recently named firm chief diversity officer and diversity committee chairman, but he “has been leading the fight for increased diversity and inclusion in the legal profession since he graduated from law school,” a colleague said. He was one of the first lawyers appointed to the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Diversity Committee in 2002 and spent six years as its co-chair, proving influential at making policy, and fostering progress. At Weber Gallagher, he recently made partner and has “spearheaded the resurgence of the Diversity Committee,” among other accomplishments, the colleague said.
