The Dwyer Connell & Lisbona law firm has been accused of age and disability discrimination in a lawsuit filed in federal court Monday by a 70-year-old legal secretary.

Marilyn DiZenzo, who worked at the Fairfield firm for 19 years, claims she was fired a few days after requesting time off for cancer treatment. The suit brings claims under the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act and the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination and seeks compensatory and punitive damages as well as legal fees and costs.
