It has been uncertain times in the legal profession for the past decade-plus. Questions abound about demand for legal services, the cost of legal education (all education, really), the role that alternative service providers play, and other issues. But there’s always room for great lawyers and great lawyering. And for most, the legal profession is not one to fall into. Many identify an interest in the law at an early age, and the strength of that interest is tested time and again along the way to where the associates included in this yearbook find themselves. Said more succinctly, we hope the associates included here continue to strive for the sort of greatness the profession needs in 2018.

For many, the legal career is just beginning, but their accomplishments already are quite impressive. Others are experienced practitioners who have switched jobs in 2018, and find themselves in new environs. Whatever the case, each yearbook entry here represents a new beginning, perhaps a fulfilled promise, a sign of a strong future for the profession in New Jersey. We certainly can’t sum it all up in a series of yearbook entries, but we hope this compilation serves as some small measure of recognition for the folks included. We also like to put faces to what can sometimes be, or at least feel like, a faceless business.
