A federal judge in Texas has ruled that New Jersey should be allowed to intervene in a lawsuit filed by Texas seeking to end the U.S. government’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program.

U.S. District Judge Andrew Hanen of the Southern District of Texas, sitting in Brownsville, ruled on Monday that New Jersey has standing to intervene because of its desire to defend the large number of “Dreamers” in New Jersey seeking to remain in the U.S.
