Virginia Long Inn Focuses on Family Law Investigative Resources
The Justice Virginia Long Family Law American Inn of Court hosted its monthly program on May 10, 2018, at the Culinary Conference Center at Hudson Community College in Jersey City. The program, “Investigative Resources for Family Lawyers,” consisted of a panel presentation by two of its members: associate John Barone and master Eileen Rhea Tulipan. The program illustrated the spectrum of investigative resources available to supplement traditional discovery mechanisms in family law. Barone demonstrated how family law attorneys can harness these investigative resources to acquire evidence through government databases, public and private search engines, and information clearinghouses.
Barone is a newly admitted solo practitioner focused on family law. He is transitioning from his current role as a police sergeant with the Jersey City Police Department. A graduate of Seton Hall School of Law, he is an active member of the New Jersey, American, and several county bar associations.
Tulipan has been practicing family law for more than 45 years. She was the first recipient of the “Hudson County Family Law Practitioner Award” in 2000 and former co-chair of the Hudson County Bar Association Family Law Committee. Tulipan is a speaker, panelist and program creator of many CLE programs.
